REPUBLIC ACT NO. 543 - AN
ACT RE-CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF SAN SEBASTIAN, PROVINCE OF SAMAR |
Section 1. The
barrios of San Sebastian, Jitaasan, Dolores, Camanjagay, Bontod,
Campidasa, Campiyak, Maslog, Balogo, Maropangpang, Binongtoan, and
Bolwan, within the municipality of Wright, Province of Samar, together
with the sitios under their jurisdiction are constituted into a new and
separate municipality to be known as the municipality of San Sebastian,
with the seat of government in the barrio of San Sebastian. Sec. 2. The municipal mayor, vice mayor and councilors of the new municipality shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines to hold office until their successors are elected and have qualified. Sec. 3. The municipality herein established shall begin to exist on the date fixed in proclamation to that effect by the President of the Philippines and upon the appointment and qualification of its officers. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 17, 1950 |
