REPUBLIC ACT NO. 2656 - AN ACT
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL FOOD AND AGRICULTURE
ORGANIZATION (FAO) COMMITTEE |
Section 1. Out of
any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, there is
hereby authorized to be appropriated the sum of one hundred thousand
pesos for the operation and maintenance of the Philippine National Food
and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Committee: Provided, That the
operation and maintenance of the said committee shall include the
payment of the following: 1. Salaries and
wages of personnel. The members of the Committee, except the chairman,
executive secretary and assistant executive secretary, are not members
of the personnel.
2. Traveling expenses including travel abroad and per diem of personnel and members of the Committee designated by the proper authority to represent the Philippines in international meetings and conferences sponsored or co-sponsored by the FAO. 3. Meal allowance for members of the Committee during Committee meetings including members of the personnel provided such meal allowance does not exceed P5.00 for each member of the Committee attending personnel. 4. Representation expenses for the entertainment of visiting FAO official, FAO specialists and scientists. 5. Illumination, telephone, postal, telegram, cable and radio services. 6. Purchase and repair of furniture and equipment. 7. Purchase of supplies and materials. 8. Printing and binding of publications. 9. Rental of building. 10. Miscellaneous services. Sec. 2. The appropriation herein authorized shall be provided for in the subsequent annual General Appropriations Act: Provided, however, That any unexpended balance of the appropriation herein authorized at the end of the fiscal year immediately prior to the fiscal year wherein the necessary appropriation for this purpose has been included in the annual General Appropriations Act shall revert to the General Funds. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 18, 1960 |
