ACT APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES DURING THE PERIOD
FROM JULY FIRST, NINETEEN HUNDRED FIFTY TO JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN
HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES |
Section 1. The
following sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are
appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise
appropriated, during the period from July first, nineteen hundred fifty
to June thirtieth, nineteen hundred fifty-one, for the purposes
specified hereunder: ORDINARY EXPENDITURES B. � OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT II. � SUNDRY EXPENSES 6. Additional appropriation for consumption of supplies and materials, for Welfareville P70,120.00 ����� P70,120.00 ========= IV. � SPECIAL AND GENERAL PURPOSES 10. Item B-2 (v), page 498 of Republic Act No. 563, is hereby amended to read as follows: "(v) For indemnity to Maliwalu victims and relief to the evacuees during operations and actions against dissidents and to victims of disasters, such as typhoons, earthquakes, floods, fires, and similar public calamities, including services for handling relief goods � P899,940.00". 4. For the payment of gratuity equivalent to one month salary for every year of continuous satisfactory service rendered but not exceeding twelve months on the basis of the last salary received, to officials and employees who are separated from the service by reason of the abolition of their positions in the General Appropriation Act for the fiscal year 1951: PROVIDED, HOWEVER, That those entitled to a gratuity for three months or less shall be paid their full gratuity; those entitled to more than three months shall be paid an additional one-half month for every additional month to which they are entitled, the total payments not to exceed six months: PROVIDED, FURTHER, That the unpaid portion of the gratuity shall be paid from savings in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (5), section 5, of Republic Act No. 563: AND PROVIDED, FINALLY, That in case an employee entitled to gratuity is reinstated in the government service, or in any government-owned or controlled corporations, he shall be required to refund to the National Government the unexpired portion of his gratuity P400,000.00 ����� Total for the Office of the President P400,000.00 ========= L. � DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE SPECIAL PURPOSES 3. The special and general provisions of the General Appropriation Act for the fiscal year 1951 (Republic Act No. 563) not in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby made applicable to the appropriations provided in this Act.
