ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED FIFTY-TWO HUNDRED FIFTY, ENTITLED
"AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TRAINING PROGRAM FOR TEACHERS OF SPECIAL AND
EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN IN THE PHILIPPINES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS

Section
1. Section one of Republic Act Numbered Fifty-two
hundred fifty is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. There is hereby established, under the administration and supervision of the Bureau of Public Schools, in cooperation with the University of the Philippines, the Philippine Normal College, and the School for the Deaf and the Blind, a ten-year program for the training of special and exceptional children." Sec. 2. Section four of the same Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 4. All expenses to be incurred therefore, such as tuition and other fees, stipends of teacher-trainees, development and training abroad of members of the faculty of the cooperating institutions and those of the special education staff of the General Office, Bureau of Public Schools, and other expenses incident to the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the funds of the program and shall be disbursed by the Director of Public Schools: provided, that the expenses for development and training abroad shall not exceed ten per centum of the total appropriation provided in Republic Act Numbered Five thousand two hundred and fifty." Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: August 4, 1969 |
