REPUBLIC ACTS
AN ACT REGULATING THE PRICES OF
ADMISSION TO THEATERS, CINEMATOGRAPHS, HORSE RACES, JAI-ALAI AND OTHER
PLACES OF AMUSEMENT, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS

Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any proprietor, lessee or operator of each of said establishments to charge prices of admission in excess of the maximum fixed by the board pursuant to section one hereof; and any such proprietor, lessee, or operator found guilty of violating the provisions of the order of the board shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five thousand pesos or by imprisonment not exceeding one year. In the case of corporations or associations, the criminal liability shall devolve upon the president, manager or managing director. In addition, the offending establishment shall lose its license. Sec. 3. The sum of twenty thousand pesos, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of the funds of the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated to carry into effect the purposes of this Act. Sec. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
