AMEND SECTION ONE, TWO AND FOUR OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED SEVEN HUNDRED

Section 1.
Sections one, two and four of Republic Act Numbered
Seven hundred ninety are amended to read as follows: "Section 1.
There is hereby granted to the Acoje Mining Co., Inc., its successors
or assigns, a temporary permit to construct, maintain and operate in
the Philippines, at such places as the said grantee may select, subject
to the approval of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications,
private fixed point-to-point and private coastal radio stations, as
well as point-to-point field stations for new operations and associated
companies, mobile land stations, mobile sea stations, mobiler stations
and communications from point-to-point ground, land point to mobiler,
land or sea, mobiler tor, sea or land and mobile sea tor, sea or land,
for the reception and transmission of wireless messages on
radiotelegraphy or radiotelephony, each station to be provided with a
radio transmitting apparatus and a radio receiving apparatus. Said
grantee is authorized to use any combination of these facilities for
the efficiency and safety of its operations.
"Sec. 2. The
President of the Philippines shall have the power and authority to
permit the location of said private fixed point-to-point and private
coastal radio stations, as well as point-to-point field stations for
new operations and associated companies, mobile land stations, mobile
sea stations, mobiler stations and communications from point-to-point
ground, land point to mobiler, land or sea, mobiler tor, sea or land
and mobile sea tor, sea or land, or any of them on lands of the public
domain upon such terms as he may prescribe.cralaw
"Sec. 4. The grantee, its successors or assigns, shall not engage in domestic business of telecommunications in the Philippines without further special assent of the Congress of the Philippines, it being understood that the purpose of this permit is to secure to the grantee the right to construct, maintain and operate private fixed point-to-point and private coastal radio stations, as well as point-to-point field stations for new operations and associated companies, mobile land stations, mobile sea stations, mobiler stations and communications from point-to-point ground, land point to mobiler, land or sea, mobiler, sea or land and mobile sea tor, sea or land, in such places within the Philippines as the interest of the company and of its trade and business may justify." Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 20, 1959 |
